Understand and calculate your BMI
Body mass index (BMI: Body Mass Index) is a quantity to estimate body size of a person.
This index is calculated according to the size and mass. Although it was originally designed for adults 18 to 65 years, new growth charts have emerged in recent decades for children 0-18 years. In both cases, it is an indication and in the calculation of the Body fat %.
BMI = mass/size²
This index was invented by Lambert Adolphe Jacques Quetelet.

less than 16.5 | denutrition |
16.5 to 18.5 | thinness |
18.5 to 25 | normal weight |
25-30 | overweight |
30-35 | moderate obesity |
35-40 | severe obesity |
over 40 | morbid or severe obesity |
